5 piece alt rock from hull?

AfterGlow formed just under 2 years ago, playing their first gig just days after their first rehearsal. Studio time soon followed and by the summer of 2006 AfterGlow where gigging up and down the country with their lively and energetic stage show taking in venues such as Josephs Well in Leeds and Night and Day in Manchester. After a long string of nationwide gigs, mini tours, and support slots with acts such as Dogs & The Displacements, AfterGlow went on to play gigs for the likes of XFM, Carling, HMV and Kerrang.

AfterGlow soon begun to affirm a name for them selves as a powerful and exiting young band becoming known for their raw and passionate stage performances and their distinctive Alternative Indie Disco sound.

In early 2007, taking a completely DIY approach, AfterGlow went about setting up their own independent record label, Empire Records. After several demo’s the band went on to do a recording session engineered and produced by the legendary Alan Jones, (Paul McCartney/ Beautiful South/ Sam Cooke) to record the tracks for their first official release, and in August 2007 the stage had been set and AfterGlow went on to release their debut EP “A night in the life of”. The release saw the band gain radio play and the EP received rave reviews in the music press.

Having already played dates at Trash (Leeds) & Waterrats (London) and a sold out show at the Hull Adelphi on the first leg of their tour, and with the band having already confirmed several festivals dates for the summer & single release set for Spring, things look pretty good for AfterGlow in 2008.
